hello :)) i’m viveka, an artist currently based in mumbai, india.
i make illustrations, comics, and zines, and also work with frame-by-frame animation. i often gravitate towards the whimsy and meditativeness of hand drawings as a way to interpret and make sense of an increasingly overwhelming and fragmented world.
i am a former Erasmus Mundus scholar, with an M.A. in Media Arts Cultures. my research explores digital art preservation, the relationship between art and culture on the internet, and the nature of archiving and memory in the 21st century. i have also worked with new media and electronic art, where i’ve been exploring the dissonances of our current post-digital lived experience.
